Bulk Order on Jenny Phillips Book

Jenny Phillips has a new book out called "Beautiful." You can check it out here
It is a 7.5 x 7.5, 44-page, softcover book that includes full-color illustrations and a CD of songs and narration.  It makes a great gift for women and young women, especially with Mother's Day coming up.
This is what Jenny said about the book. "As soon as I got the books delivered from the printer a few weeks ago, my daughter read a copy, and then she came to me and said: 'Mom, I think I care too much about how I look and what people think of me. I need to focus on what really matters in life.'

I wanted to jump up and start dancing around with her. If my own daughter was changed by the book’s message then it was worth writing the book just for her.
But I’m hoping that the message in this book can also sink into the hearts of many other daughters of God (both young and grown). Because I am no longer in bookstores, I need the help of my fans to get this message to as many women and young women as I can. You can let others know that bulk pricing as low as $3 each makes it possible to give this book/CD out to entire wards for Mother’s Day or entire young women groups for girl’s camp, etc.
Also, many people have told me they are getting together with friends and/or family and are doing group buys to get the best bulk pricing level so they can give the book/CD out for Mother’s Day to those they visit teach and their friends/family. What better gift could you give for $3 than a new CD and beautifully illustrated book that could make an impact on someone’s life?!?"

Bulk Pricing
1-4: $12.95 each
5-9: $6.00 each
10-49: $4 each
50+=$3 each

I think I am going to order one for Makaela's Easter basket (we do books to cut down on the candy overload) and a few more for other people.  I am planning on ordering at least 10 ($4 each) by Thursday (the 29th), I think.  Let me know (adamandheather@hotmail.com) if you want to go in on a bulk order. I also have a code (CONFERENCE) for 10% off and (FREESHIP) for free shipping, both good through the end of April.

She also has a free downloadable activity packet for General Conference.  You can find that here.

Lunch Money Booklets

Hi everyone!
To raise money for Makaela's baton participation in parades, performances, and Nationals (at Notre Dame in July), the Rocky Mountain Golden Girls Baton Academy is selling Lunch Money Booklets.  I normally wouldn't post her fundraising efforts, but this is a really good deal if it fits your lifestyle and I had never heard of them before.

The Lunch Money Booklet is a coupon booklet for a buy one/get one deal to many local food establishments.  Unlike other coupon booklets, the deals in this booklet are valid once a month.  You can use the same coupon over and over again throughout the year.  When used, the establishment marks off the current month on their page of your book, leaving all remaining months available for you to use again!  The booklet is $10, so it pays for itself in just 1 to 2 uses.
The restaurants offered in the booklet include: Culver's, Maya Cove, BerryBlendz, Caninos, Silver Mine Subs, Dairy Queen, Carl's Jr., Cold Stone Creamery, Paninos, Perkins, Obee's, Nick-N-Willy's, Farmer's Table, Island Grill, Runza, and Johnson's Corner.

The fundraiser will probably be going through the first week of April.  Let me know if you have any questions or want to buy one.  (adamandheather@hotmail.com) Thanks so much!

Music Makers starts Friday 9/9

For ages 2-5 years old (parent stays with child)
Every Friday from 10-11 am at the Trilby Chapel (on corner of Trilby & Timberline)

Music Makers is the perfect opportunity to introduce your child to structure and fun through the many wonders of music. The hour-long engagement is divided into 6 sections with emphasis on different aspects of being part of a group who enjoys music and movement.

What should I bring?
1 puppet and 1 instrument per person (come even if you don't have one though!)

What are the guidelines?
1. Be a good example
*Parents should visit and socialize during the end of Marching Time and in the hall.
*During other sections, parent should participate in the different musical activities with your children and help them stay quiet

2. No food
*Feed your children snacks before or after Music Makers - but not during this hour.

3. Emphasize Boundaries
*Music Makers is a program developed to educate children about music and discipline.
*If your child will not sit on a mat with you, please do not let them run around as it is a distraction/temptation to other children. Take your child into the hall or keep the child in the back of the room until he/she is ready to re-join the group and have fun!
