Music Makers starts Friday 9/9

For ages 2-5 years old (parent stays with child)
Every Friday from 10-11 am at the Trilby Chapel (on corner of Trilby & Timberline)

Music Makers is the perfect opportunity to introduce your child to structure and fun through the many wonders of music. The hour-long engagement is divided into 6 sections with emphasis on different aspects of being part of a group who enjoys music and movement.

What should I bring?
1 puppet and 1 instrument per person (come even if you don't have one though!)

What are the guidelines?
1. Be a good example
*Parents should visit and socialize during the end of Marching Time and in the hall.
*During other sections, parent should participate in the different musical activities with your children and help them stay quiet

2. No food
*Feed your children snacks before or after Music Makers - but not during this hour.

3. Emphasize Boundaries
*Music Makers is a program developed to educate children about music and discipline.
*If your child will not sit on a mat with you, please do not let them run around as it is a distraction/temptation to other children. Take your child into the hall or keep the child in the back of the room until he/she is ready to re-join the group and have fun!

Consignment Sale Season

Tis the season for Children's & Maternity consignment sales. There have already been a few and if you hear of any more that aren't on this list. please let me know so we can get it listed right away!

What is a consignment sale?

Shop & Save - These are not retail stores but rather savings extravaganzas--shopping events that happen usually twice a year per location. At these events, consignors bring their new and gently-used children's and maternity merchandise to sell. Shoppers can then browse and purchase these items at great savings, usually far below retail prices. (borrowed off the JBF website)

Consign - If you would like to earn a little extra money, don't just donate your clothes, consign them! I've been participating in consignment sales for the past 6 years. Yes, it does take quite a bit of organization and effort up front, but earning an extra $200-$800 per sale is worth it to me! I'm happy to answer any questions you have if you're interested and all the consignment websites have lots of helpful info regarding consigning. I suggest tagging everything with JBF tags because they will not accept other sale's tags and most other sales will accept the JBF tags. This way you only have to tag everything once!

Just Between Friends Longmont - Aug 26-30 at Boulder County Fairgrounds
http://longmont.jbfsale.com/pages/home
I know it's a bit of a drive, but this is my favorite sale by far! I sell more at this sale and I ALWAYS find really great stuff here because it's the largest sale in NoCo

Grow With Me - Sept 9-10 at The Ranch in Loveland
http://twinsntriplets.com/growwithmesale/
Sponsored by the Fort Collins Parents of Multiples club (and our very own Staci Langford) this is a fantastic sale with awesome bargains!

Shop Kids Event - Sept. 15-18 at the Longmont Mall

World's Largest Yard Sale This Saturday

Saturday, August 20 7am - 3pm at the Outlets at Loveland in both parking lots. There are going to be over 200 vendors there. I (Adrienne) went to the event in May and it was so much fun! What's better than doing a ton of garage sale-ing all in one place??? I'll be there with my $5.50 Paparazzi Jewelry, so stop by and say "hi" if you come!
